The grassroots team around the State of Washington did a wonderful job at turning people out to the precinct caucuses on February 9. Over 250,000 participated in the caucuses — a record in the state and (from what we understand) a record turnout in the nation.
The job is not yet finished. The campaign wages on and it’s still a battle for every single delegate. The upcoming LD/County caucuses will be crucial in maintaining — if not increasing — the Obama delegate allocation going into the next level of the process.
Statewide, there are many existing Obama teams within each LD or County. These teams will continue working towards a 100% turnout for the LD/County conventions. The present challenge is obtaining the delegate/alternate lists from the local Democratic Party organizations. In some cases, these lists won’t be available until after they’ve been processed by the State Democrats.
Once these lists are received, it will be a huge task to contact all of the delegates and alternates to keep them together, and keep the campaign moving forward towards victory.
Why wait until the LD/County teams have the lists to begin developing the next phase of the campaign? Why not contact the teams in your area and start putting the next part of the campaign together now?
This page is being redeveloped to have email contact addresses to all of the team captains in the State of Washington. While we know who those team leaders are, we still need permission from these indivuals to make their contact information publically available.
If you don’t see a link to your LD or county team, please contact us directly. We will pass your information on to the appropriate team so that they can hook up with you and keep you involved in the campaign.
